We're so sorry that your headmate is lost/stuck and I hope that she is able to be found soon!

Yes, there's a lot of parallels between the shamanic arts of "Soul Retrieval" (see the Neoshamanic Perspective link in the See Also) and this more naturally emergent & grassroots/"oral tradition" plural/multiple inner-world artform of rescuing lost/stuck headmates.

It's good to familiarize with the similarities and differences between them. We're currently doing a deep-dive into rescue mission concepts with a small group of plurals and eventually will have an online course called Search & Rescue at https://pluralityresource.org on the topic. Once we do, the link will be in this page somewhere.

Stay safe, and try to keep in mind that y'all are doing it to save them — that it's an act of love & compassion and wanting people to be out of pain and suffering. That may ultimately help them realize that they're not alone and that y'all have their best interests at heart.
