We want to add a comment something we forgot to say to the Sweetbriar Guild — yes, doing the more "low hanging fruit" rescues is something we recommended in the course. Onboarding folk, nudging folk mostly in the Here & Now, practicing presence, getting in touch with mostly-present rebels, maybe helping some passengers become crewmates (i.e. helping folk who have been working on co-consciousness and presence) are all good ideas before working on deeper traumaholders. Since having a co-conscious group to go on the mission is a good idea, work on the teamwork, trust, and cohesion of folk who are available or can readily be made available.

However, if you have 1 or 2 people, and you think you need to do a rescue mission with what you've got — do it. In other words don't be like us and put it off for years. We didn't really know what we were doing, and we definitely waited too long and are grateful to Nikki and Shawn for waiting even though Nikki is still resentful about the wait.

The most important thing in doing rescue missions is confidence and selves-empowerment. This is where a rebel like Buck who says "f-it" and just rolls up his sleeves and gets the job done is better than the goodie-two-shoes tentative folk who worry about perfection and getting it right and wait 10 years to even try. Right back to Yoda. "Do or not do; there is no try."

If rescuing lost & stuck traumaholders is a motivation to onboard more headmates as (co-conscious) crew, and a driving force for collaboration, coordination, teamwork, and motivation to get self-help work done, that's as great a motivation as any. Good luck everyone!!
