Nightwind is the incarnation of Star where Crimishia, the black-skinned "Temple elf" from Acres Farendis, was transformed into a light-skinned version of herself and shipped off to Kerri where she was able to intervene directly in affairs of Drendel and Elvair during their wartime. "Nightwind" also became a name we used for many of our thisworld/thislife activities, such as herbalism, and many logins on various BBSes, etc.
