Multiples may have a very rich internal landscape, that may include objects and places that the internal residents may have special interactions with, objects that have special significance in the system.
These objects, whether they are real objects or internalized symbols, can effect the residents, altering their interactions with the internal landscape, other residents, or with the external world.
