Glossary
- accounted for
- people present at the current rollcall...people who answer to their name in my head, have their own separate identity, etc.
- analog
- someone who had similar roots or the "same soul" as the person in question, but comes from a parallel universe (think Sliders).
- guardian-inside
- a guardian has moved into my head...their tie is primarily that of being a spiritual watchdog to make sure nothing gets into my innermost defenses. In this case, Ruth, and she's tied to Willow through the past life of Ansa'Abram, and Warren, who is tied to Star.
- guardian-outside
- most guardians are outside of one...spirit guardians, totem spirits, ancestral spirits, etc. I happen to be aware of some, and call them by name, and know to whom in my body they are connected.
- guardian spirit
- a guardian has moved into my head...their tie is primarily that of being a spiritual watchdog to make sure nothing gets into my innermost defenses. In this case, Ruth, and she's tied to Willow through the past life of Ansa'Abram, and Warren, who is tied to Star. Most guardians are outside of one...spirit guardians, totem spirits, ancestral spirits, etc. I happen to be aware of some, and call them by name, and know to whom in my body they are connected.
- not present
- people who do not have a psyche of their own (ie: a normal past life is simply memories or an aspect of someone else in my head) in my body at this time. One of them is someone who moved out.]
- past-life
- the party in question (in black in my chart) remembers a series of lives which came before that one (the lives in green below it). Sometimes the person can call up those memories as if they are still that person. First lets start with Past Lives...simple concept right? Souls are recyclable...or at least reusable. One dies, and sometimes you don't go to your "final resting place" but are reborn to learn more, to finish unfinished work, to re-meet your loved ones, to make up for debts accumulated on your soul, etc. Often people don't remember a thing, sometimes they remember much, sometimes, as with memories of Atlantis, the memories are strange and difficult to believe. Often, because one is usually "normal joe" in a past life, it's difficult to prove if the person you think you were existed for real. This concept does not have to be against most major religions...you can still be reincarnated and go to heaven or hell as your final resting place. It possibly explains some feelings of deja vu, strange memories, why you might meet people and really feel you know them, but can't figure out why.
- past-life analog
- the connection between two people in my head is that one is the past life of the other (or so close as to not make a very big difference) although they simultaneously exist in my head, it doesn't seem to be anything near a paradox.
- The Sea of Souls {"The Sea"}
- The Sea is a pan-dimensional plane of existence which overlaps many
other planes. Souls float in the Sea, and Threads run from some of the Souls,
ones which currently have lives on other planes, to their bodies. To return to
the Sea is the term we use for a spirit who has given up his/her link to
our body and is now truly dead, a soul mindlessly drifting in the Sea from
whence it came. Someone who is "In the Sea" is either pre-born
or post-death.
- Sidhe {pronounced "shee"} - by Elvair
- Sidhe, historically/mythologically speaking, are the etherial persons seen glowing and riding on their horses past the elder bush or the linden. One crouches beneath and watches the ghostly elven parade....and if one is lucky, the umbrella of leaves or the sacredness of the tree keeps their beatuiful/terrible gaze off of one. That would be on Moving Day, generally speaking (Beltane & Samhain), or perhaps they're just a breath away beyond a veil. My personal belief is that Sidhe are tall fair elves, just a step or three into the physical realm, but mainly existing between the worlds, one foot in one, one foot in the other. They are detatched from the physical realm, their signatures speak volumes of things which are like gossamer and spiderwebs, one thinks that one can simply reach out and tear the obscuring mist/veil from ones eyes and see them clearly. They are dignified, proud, but unaffected, graceful to the tips of every lock of hair, in all steps and movement. Their magicks are of a second nature to them, but are very strong and powerful...but they are just as likely not to use them at all, so taken for granted they are. In battle, they are also terrible to look upon, not caring much for the life of humans which passes so quickly anyways, and they might be close friends with Death himself...for he stays his hand from them, they are very long lived.
- soulbonded
- sharing ties of the spirit of one kind or another. Some use the term "soulbonded" to mean someone to whom they are soul-married. The connection appears to transcend death and reincarnation. In my use here, it does not have to be an exclusive connection--you can be soulbonded to more than one person.
- walk-in
- a term I first saw it in "Aliens Among Us" (I think that's the book title), but I'd forgotten all about the term til I re-found the book after I saw Otherkin using it. It's been coined for use regarding extraterrestrials a lot....The human spirit leaves, and an alien spirit enters the body. Not far fetched, if you consider what we're doing/talking about... otherkin are all aliens of a sort, neh? It includes a bunch of phenomena where a spirit not born to the body moves in, before or after birth. The host body spirit can remain or leave. In my case, if someone is specifically a "Walk-In" then they went from one life to the next with no discernable reincarnation...in the cases of Brenhani-Dreal (no direct memory) and Crimishia-Star (exiled from her body), there was no discernable death either. In the case of Ansa'Abram-Willow, there is a definite death memory. I am using different names for their current incarnation, because in this lifetime they've undergone significant change and are no longer the persons they were before they walked-in.
