Agreed. Unfortunately we live in a singular-normative world with singular expectations, and folks may not understand why, for example, we need to spend an hour in the morning having an internal meeting to prioritize our day, listen to folks' concerns, make sure nothing (& no one) slips through the cracks, etc.

We carry ourselves everywhere our body goes. It's actually a good thing that we pay so much attention to making sure we're all cared for, it results in a lot less chaos externally (and of course internally).

There's a lot more bad advice out there encouraging therapists to direct us to ignore headmates leading to much worse things than spending a little time sorting stuff out here & there. Ignorant psychologists make a big deal out of "encouraging" being plural and those are probably the ones who have the worst outcomes and lose most of their clients — goodness knows we'd quit therapy with someone like that.
