The Mad Pride Movement
An activist movement started in the 1990s in response to stigmatization of people who use mental health services. This movement says that being mad or crazy or nuts is nothing to be ashamed of and reclaims the hurtful, abusive language to use as a badge of pride and educate the public about the causes of mental illness, and educate the public about the suicide pandemic.
