Papers
Note: until there are more resources generated from folks with lived experience of DID and related issues, we are including some of the **better** but not perfect resources to start from.
- Loewenstein, R. J. (2018). "Dissociation debates: everything you know is wrong." Dialogues in Clinical Neuroscience, 20(3), 229–242. https://doi.org/10.31887/DCNS.2018.20.3/rloewenstein link - this paper is a decent overview of prevalence, types of dissociation, debunking some myths about dissociation, etc. Folks with lived experience may note that his coverage of the range of experiences in DID is cut short in this paper, but this is a good background of dissociation in general.
- Loewenstein, R. J., & Brand, B. (2023). "Dissociative identity disorder: a disorder of diagnostic and therapeutic paradoxes." Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, 37(4), 339–380. https://doi.org/10.1080/02668734.2023.2272771 link
