This is the door in our internal landscape that Almerissa created in Crimishia's head on Acres Farendis because there were too many people talking all at once when she woke up as Nightwind in Kerri. Long story...the upshot is that we believe there are tons of people back there, and we don't necessarily want to have to get to know them all at the same time.
It's possible there are far less than the original estimate of 1000 people. It might just seem like that many.
This door segregates people into the Back Room so that they can't come into the Front Room.
